There is much to see and experience in and around Norrkoping. The old industrial landscape (Industrilandskapet), in the middle of the city, is well worth a visit. It was restored not to long ago and was tranformed into a popular area where museums, concert halls and training centers are neighbors with high-tech innovation companies. During the winter time is the current that flows through the city beautifully lit and in the summer there are also many outdoor concerts in the middle of the Industrial Landscape.
In the nearby neighborhood Knäppingsborg are many cozy shops and restaurants located in the old factory and warehouse premises. Soderkoping is an idyllic spot with a history of living in narrow streets with cobblestone streets and low houses. You can see for intance how the boats passed Göta Canal. Do not miss a visit to the nationally known ice cream restaurant Smultronstället . During the summer different open-air theaters are performing at the city streets.
St. Anna archipelago formed by thousands of smaller and larger islands. It stretches from the Southern Finnö in the south to Aspöja in the north where Arkösunds archipelago begins. Here you will meet both beautiful scenery and exciting adventures.

Tåby hembygdsförening has been renovating Fristad old guesthouse. The lower floor is dated to 1605-1606 and said to be Östergörlands oldest timbered houses.
